FamiDash

FamiDash is an amateur NES port of popular mobile game Geometry Dash. Geometry Dash's action and timing and rhythm gameplay is remanufactured in the style of an 8-bit classic experience in FamiDash. Even though there are hardware constraints within the NES console, FamiDash does retain the original character of the game and offers a distinct but challenging platform experience for retro gamers.

What is FamiDash?

FamiDash reimagines the foundation of Geometry Dash on the NES. Jumping over obstacles with the same principle is still the idea behind it, but in the limitations of an 8-bit system. The levels were designed by the creator, RobTop, specifically for FamiDash and comprise 12 unique levels, with another 3 being community-sourced custom-made levels. The game does not hold back its heritage, providing an intense, rhythm-based skill test with no checkpoints that forces players to master each level by precision and patience.

How to Play FamiDash

Jump and Move to the Rhythm

Timing is critical when playing FamiDash. Players must jump and avoid obstacles based on the rhythm of the music. All levels have been designed based on the rhythm, and you must listen intently and jump accurately in order to proceed.

No Checkpoints

The hardest part of FamiDash is that there are no checkpoints. If you bump into something, you have to restart the level from scratch. This adds a level of challenge that requires concentration and fast reflexes. Without checkpoints, every mistake is costly, so every level is a true test of skill.

Practice Mode

For users who are having a difficult time with the game's level of difficulty, FamiDash also includes a practice mode. In practice mode, you are able to insert checkpoints anywhere throughout the level so you can concentrate on getting a certain section down before you try the entire level in normal mode. This option is extremely helpful when trying to get familiar with the game's rhythm and difficult areas.

Unique Gameplay Features

In addition to the basic jumping mechanics, FamiDash incorporates an awesome feature: transformations. During the game, your character is able to transform into various objects, such as UFOs or planes.
